Glass
Witnessing sculpture transposed to glass comes as a proverbial ordeal by fire. In its molten state, the material harbours a zillion possibilities that hum with the miracle of artistic creation. Ambiguous in its very nature, glass comes as an intriguing medium for expression between transparent and opaque, strong and fragile, liquid and solid. These are the connotations Sabine Wiedenhofer harnesses in her sculptural work in this ‘matter’ whose infinite potential encourages a constant pushing of boundaries - both imaginary and concrete.
